# Smart annotation tool missing in UI Preview

Hi everybody,

I’d like to use label-studio in combination with the ML backend (especially SAM model).  
I followed the instruction:

My problem: If I create my custom labeling interface by copying the code, there aren’t the “automatic annotation” button and the “smart tool” in the UI Preview (see screenshot) visible (compared to the instruction in the link above). I think that’s why the connection with the ML backend does not work.  
My questions:  
Do I need the “smart tool” for the ML backend or the instruction outdated?  
If I need the smart tool for the ML backend: How can I get it?

yes, I solved it: I forgot to activate “Use predictions to prelabel tasks”
