Looking at the basic OCR task config:

```xml
<View>
  <Image name="image" value="$ocr"/>
  <Labels name="label" toName="image">
    <Label value="Text" background="green"/>
    <Label value="Handwriting" background="blue"/>
  </Labels>
  <Rectangle name="bbox" toName="image" strokeWidth="3"/>
  <TextArea name="transcription" toName="image"
            editable="true"
            perRegion="true"
            required="true"
            maxSubmissions="1"
            rows="5"
            placeholder="Recognized Text"
            displayMode="region-list"
            />
</View>
```

I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a `<Shortcut>` tag for switching focus to the `TextArea` after the bounding rectangle is drawn? It would be handy to the text area pop-up next-to the box after placed with auto-cursor focus, but I’m going to try to make the smaller ask (applicable directly for my usage) instead of a global ask.

From the docs page, it looks like the `<Shortcut>` tag is only usable for inputting text, but it would be helpful to have a bit more functionality for speeding up OCR labeling. Additionally, I didn’t see anything related to the `TextArea` tag that would accomplish this, but perhaps I missed something there. Appreciate the support 🚀

Hello,
Kind of the same issue, but maybe I am missing something..?
When I have a lot bounding boxes drawn, then I draw a new one, the text input field in the `Regions` section does not get focused so I have to scroll to find it…
I do not think this is the intended behavior ?
Thank you for your help

Hello everyone,
I found a workaround, i just changed the labels in the XML :

```XML
<Label value="Fix required" background="#ff0000"/>
<Label value="Checked" background="#00ff00"/>
```

Then on the region-list, I sort by label and I collapse all labels except “Fix required”

Then I follow the procedure :

- Select a bounding box
- If the annotation in correct, Press `2` on the keyboard to mark as `Checked`
- If not, press `1` to mark as `Fix required` → the text appears in the regions-list
- Press `Enter` to edit the text
- Press `Enter` to validate
- Press `2` to mark as `Checked`
